El árbol de la escuela

Antonio Sandoval

Authentic Spanish Book

Age: 4-7

*Great for learning key words of the world around you.

Galician author Antonio Sandoval writes a beautiful story about a young boy whose love and affection for a small, skinny tree in the school yard causes it to grow. The tree becomes so big that children begin to play in it, swing in it, and even read in it. When the tree sprouts another tree, the children decide to send it to another school so the students there can share in the enjoyment. Sadoval's story conveys an important message of love and respect for our environment, and it's one of my favorite books to read to my children and at Spanish Book reading events.
